THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA is focused on children from 0 - 12 and their families, but exhibition areas and venues are open for all ages. Our mission is to prepare children to succeed in school, help families live healthy lives and nurture a new generation of creative and global citizens, through ground breaking exhibits, innovative programs and first class performances. CMOWA will

be a place for children of all abilities to play, explore and be themselves. CMOWA offers children with disabilities the opportunity to explore a wide variety of activities that provide tactile, visual and auditory stimulation. MODELLED ON CHILDREN'S MUSEUMS FOUND IN CITIES THROUGHOUT THE USA AND EUROPE, the purpose of CMOWA is to provide valuable learning experiences for young children and their accompanying older siblings and adults through play-based learning. Activities are designed to allow children to take control and share their imagination and creativity with others. The best designed activities ensure accompanying have as much enjoyment as children, sharing the experience as co-learners and creators.
