This dreamy original painting by local artist Gail Affleck is titled ‘Float Away II’.

An abstracted coastal landscape, this work evokes a tranquil, contemplative mood. The upper half is dominated by a soft, hazy sky in delicate which transitions into a loose suggestion of dunes and shoreline. The base becomes more expressive and abstract, where layered drips introduce movement and textures subtly suggesting erosion, tides, or the passage of time.

Part of Gail’s latest collection, this mid-size work (800mm × 640mm) is currently on display.

‘Jude’s Table’ is a new original artwork by Queensland artist Sally Barling.

This mixed media piece reflects Sally’s distinctive style, featuring a palette of soft, organic tones.

It is one of several new works by Sally currently on display at the gallery as part of our group exhibition.

The gallery is open this week Wednesday through Friday, 10am–4pm, and Sunday, 9am–3pm (closed ANZAC Day).

‘Letting Go’ by Noosa artist Katie Ryan is a deeply personal work, bursting with earthy, rich colours, intricate detail and texture.

Measuring 105 cm x 105 cm and framed in natural timber, this is a striking original painting with a raw, organic quality.

Katie will be in the gallery today, Friday 17 April, from 10am–1pm. Drop in to meet her, learn what inspires her work, and chat about her creative journey.

‘Treasured Place’ by local artist Gail Affleck is a striking large-scale work, bursting with colour, texture and detail. Measuring 144cm wide x 78cm high, this original painting is a fabulous feature piece.

Gail has several new artworks in our current exhibition, from larger statement works to smaller gems, all capturing the beautiful colours and textures of our local coastal landscape.

Gail will be in the gallery today, Thursday 16 April, from 10am–12pm. Come in to meet her, hear the inspiration behind her work, and chat about her creative process.

A Noosa local of over 20 years, Katie’s work is inspired by patterns in nature, translated into refined, contemplative abstraction.

The coastal landscape that surrounds us serves as a continual source of inspiration for local artist Gail Affleck. These familiar yet ever-shifting environments feature in many of Gail’s new works in our current exhibition.

‘The Wallum’ is an intimate study of one of Australia’s most distinctive coastal landscapes, found only along the Queensland and New South Wales shoreline.

Through richly layered texture and a nuanced palette, Gail has captured the quiet resilience and subtle beauty of this unique local ecosystem.

COLLECTIVE VISIONS is now open at The Gallery Peregian Beach, presenting more than 30 new works by Queensland artists Gail Affleck, Sally Barling and Katie Ryan.

The Gallery is open today from 9am–3pm, with each artist present in the gallery:

Gail Affleck — 9am–11am

Sally Barling — 11am–1pm

Katie Ryan — 1pm–3pm

Visitors are warmly invited to view the exhibition and meet the artists throughout the day.
