Impromptu Abstract Art Workshop

At Friday night’s fabulous Opening Night Soiree, our special guest speaker, Kristin Coburn, artist and director of the School of Fine Art, Mosman, has announced that she will be holding a one-off, impromptu abstract art workshop at the Penrose Village Hall on Saturday 18th April at 1pm.

Kristin is a passionate artist and art educator who lives, and loves, to share her skills and insights into the creative process that she considers so essential to a happy and fulfilling life.

Bring along your own art materials and surfaces if you have them, limited equipment will be available to use at no charge. Learn from a life-long, celebrated artist about creating abstract works of art.

This workshop is free of charge and no need to book. From 1pm, it will run for approximately 2 hours.

This workshop will not be repeated so don’t miss out.

*Donations gladly accepted to help support the arts based in Penrose.

Artists Profile – Louise Docker, Penrose

Louise is a nature photographer with a lifelong interest in the natural world. Her photography focuses on the quiet moments in nature that often go unnoticed, from wildlife encounters to hanging light in the landscape.

Her work has been recognised in photography competitions both nationally and overseas. Her photographs are also licensed through Getty Images and have appeared in magazines, newspapers, books, websites and on television shows.

Through her photography, Louise hopes to encourage people to slow down, look a little closer, and appreciate the natural world around them.
