Art done by the artist for the art lover.

The talking stick for work is now complete. I have been struggling finding time to spend in my artistic space so I am happy to have found time over this long weekend to complete it.

Now I need to compete a commission for a very patient friend.....

I painted this on a 'talking stick' to be used during meetings at work. The other side is blank and waiting for my Indigenous colleague to paint. It is the merging of two cultures ❤️

Just finished this to be auctioned in QLD for Lisa's Lunches Logan.... a Not-for-profit who supplies palliative care boxes to 8 hospitals in Brisbane. I hope they raise heaps of funds to support cancer patients on their journey ###

Landscape in all pastels. Conquered my fear of trying a different medium. Glad I did.

It has been a stressful couple of months at work - it was nice to do this little guy today. Technically not a challenge but - I needed the simplicity!

Still on my journey of experimentation - this time with glazing while keeping it simple. Another one for my art wall!

'Where Day Lets Go'
Acrylic on Cotton Canvas

I have never had the courage to try and do a full sunset sky - and I must admit ..... I struggled throughout this painting to get the sky 'right'. And then when I got it as 'right' as I could get it, the foreground became the ugly part of the painting. I found that I put so much effort into the sky - I had disregarded the foreground. I changed the original concept three times, painting over distant mountains, trees and a lookout. I am still not happy with it but, it is finished to the best of my ability at this stage of my painting journey........
