Whilst the deck crew are busy needle gunning, prepping and painting the exterior. The archives team have refurbished two old workshop tables for the massive job of scanning our extensive archive collection.
More volunteers for both the archives and deck crew are always welcomed.

Unlike no2 and no3 Generators (which run regularly) no1 hasn't run in over 20 years. So it's getting a complete rebuild.

This weekend is the international lighthouse and lightship weekend. (15th and 16th August)

We'll be setting up our temporary radio shore station at the coal loader next to our berth.

Everyone is welcome to come down and see (and hear) the event as well as see our display stand. We'll be on the air from 0900 til 1700 (9am til 5pm) Saturday.

Sunday will depend on the weather.

This is the Commandant HS transmitter manufactured by Marconi Marine in England. It's been partially restored back to working order.
