I’m running a One Day Still Life Painting Workshop at the Royal Art Society of NSW Art School on Saturday 30 May and I’d love you to join me for a fun day of painting.

Students can choose to focus on either oil or acrylic painting.

Different approaches and techniques will be explored with the aim to complete at least one painting during the workshop. Students are encouraged to bring along reference images or favourite objects that can be painted from life.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience and I will provide tuition that meets the needs of each student.

Susan Sheridan FRAS has generously donated “High Country” (on canvas, 126cm x 94cm) to raise funds for our building fund. The painting would normally have a sale price of $6,500 but for our much needed building fund, we are asking $4,000. The painting is on display at the RAS in our Margaret Preston Gallery and can be viewed during gallery hours. More information, phone 9955 5752 or email [email protected]

Building update: We wish to thank the generous members and friends who have donated to our building fund. With your help we have already managed to cover nearly one tenth of the proposed cost! All donations, no matter how small or large :) will be gratefully accepted.

These essential repairs include replacing windows and their surrounds due to water leakage, rotten timber posts at the top of the building and guttering replacement.
The estimated costs for these repairs is staggering - close to $100,000 and this figure may rise further as we proceed.
As a registered charity, contributions are tax deductible and every dollar raised will go directly towards offsetting the overall costs of this project and the continual maintenance of our historic building.
