Волонтери Українського музею Австралії взяли онлайн-участь у VI Міжнародному музейному форумі «Музей: храм муз», головною темою якого у 2026 році є «Форпост спадщини: музеї і заповідники під час війни». Особливість цьогорічного Форуму полягає також у тому, що він проходить у рік знакових ювілеїв — 55-річчя відкриття музею в Меджибізькому замку та 25-річчя створення Державного історико-культурного заповідника «Меджибіж».

Volunteers from the Ukrainian Museum of Australia took part online in the VI International Museum Forum “Museum: Temple of the Muses”, the main theme of which in 2026 is “Outpost of Heritage: Museums and Reserves in Time of War”. Another feature of this year’s Forum is that it is taking place in a year of significant anniversaries — the 55th anniversary of the opening of the museum in Medzhybizh Castle and the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Medzhybizh State Historical and Cultural Reserve.

🔔Сьогодні розпочала роботу XIII Міжнародна учнівська конференція ARS LONGA.
👩🏻‍🎓🧑‍🎓Конференція в черговий раз об’єднає учасників з різних куточків України та світу.
На базі Українського музею Австралії черговий раз до виступів готувались двоє учасників з темами про видатного українського художника, який жив в Австралії Володимира Савчака та про нову виставку нашого музею
" Українські дерев'яні дива". Куратор підготовки - Тамара Іонова.
Директорка музею Maru Jarockyj виступила експерткою однієї з панелей конференції.
Дякуємо організаторам конференції за можливість взяти участь і розповісти про те, що українська культура не має кордонів і достойна бути знана в світі.

🔔Today the XIII International Student Conference ARS LONGA started its work.
👩🏻‍🎓🧑‍🎓The conference will once again bring together participants from different parts of Ukraine and the world. On the basis of the Ukrainian Museum of Australia, two participants once again prepared for their performances with topics about the outstanding Ukrainian artist who lived in Australia, Volodymyr Savchak, and about the new exhibition of our museum "Ukrainian Wooden Wonders". The curator of the preparation is Tamara Ionova. The director of the museum, Maru Jarockyj, acted as an expert on one of the conference panels.
We thank the organizers of the conference for the opportunity to participate and tell about the fact that Ukrainian culture has no borders and deserves to be known in the world.

"Church - Science - Society:
Issues of Interaction" - Twenty-fourth International Scientific Conference
to the 975th Anniversary of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and
the 100th Anniversary of the Lavra Reserve, which was attended by Cardinal Mykola Bychok with a welcoming speech and museum volunteers with a report on Fr. Zenon Chorkawyj - the first curator of the Ukrainian Museum of Australia.
It is very symbolic that the date of March 28, when the report about Fr. Zenon was heard this year, coincides with the date of the review left by Father Zenon when visiting the Exhibition dedicated to the Princes of Ostrog in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra in 2017.
Below the post are materials related to Fr. Zenon's review of the exhibition in 2017, including a stand with reviews of prominent visitors, which has been in the last hall of the exhibition since 2020.

до 975-ліття Києво-Печерської лаври та
100-річчя Лаврського заповідника , в якій брали участь кардинал Микола Бичок з привітальним словом та волонтери музею з доповіддю про о.Зенона Хоркавого - першого куратора Українського музею Австралії.
Дуже символічно, що дата 28 траня , коли звучала доповідь про о.Зенона цього року, співпадає з датою залишеного відгука отцем Зеноном при відвіданні виставки , присвяченій Князям Острозьким в Києво-Печерській лаврі 2017 року.
Під постом матеріали, що стосуються відгуку о. Зенона про виставку у 2017 році, в тому числі - стенд з відгуками видатних відвідувачів, який з 2020 р. перебуває в останньому залі виставки.

Волонтери Українського музею Австралії мали честь виступити на
Двадцять четвертій Міжнародній наукової конференції «Церква — наука суспільство: питання взаємодії", організованій Національним заповідником "Києво-Печерська лавра" до 975-ліття Києво-Печерської лаври та
100-річчя Лаврського заповідника.
Доповідь була присвячена першому куратору , збирачу та зберігачу музею
о. Зенону Хоркавому.
Надзвичайно важливо було почути від науковців Лаврського заповідника про те, що ім'я о. Зенона відоме в Лаврі давно, ним був залишений коментар в книзі відгуків до виставки , присвяченій князям Острозьким, яку він відвідував при черговому візиті до України.
Volunteers of the Ukrainian Museum of Australia had the honor of speaking at the Twenty-Fourth International Scientific Conference "Church - Science - Society: Issues of Interaction", organized by the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra", dedicated to the 975th anniversary of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and the 100th anniversary of the Lavra Reserve.
The report was dedicated to the first curator, collector and keeper of the museum, Fr. Zenon Chorkawyj .
It was extremely important to hear from the scientists of the Lavra Reserve that the name of Fr. Zenon has been known in the Lavra for a long time, he left a comment in the book of reviews for the exhibition dedicated to the Princes of Ostrog, which he visited during his next visit to Ukraine.

Національний заповідник «Києво-Печерська лавра» мав честь запросити виступити з вітальним словом на пленарному засіданні Двадцять четвертої Міжнародної наукової конференції «Церква — наука суспільство: питання взаємодії" Його Еміненцію Кардинала Миколу Бичка Єпископа Мельбурнської єпархії святих апостолів Петра й Павла Української Греко-Католицької церкви .
Також в конференції беруть участь волонтери Українського музею Австралії з доповідями про історію та видатних постатей для музею. Від волонтерської спільноти музею висловлюємо щиру вдячність Кардиналу Миколі Бичку, організаторам конференції та особисто к.і.н , археологу Сергію Тараненку за фахову та методичну допомогу в підготовці до участі в такому важливому заході. Сподіваємось на подальшу плідну співпрацю!

The National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" had the honor to invite His Eminence Cardinal Mykola Bychok, Bishop of the Melbourne Diocese of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, to deliver a welcoming speech at the plenary session of the Twenty-Fourth International Scientific Conference "Church - Science - Society: Issues of Interaction".
Also participating in the conference are volunteers from the Ukrainian Museum of Australia with reports on the history and outstanding figures for the museum.
On behalf of the volunteer community of the museum, we express our sincere gratitude to Cardinal Mykola Bychok, the organizers of the conference, and personally to the candidate of historical sciences, archaeologist Sergiy Taranenko, for their professional and methodological assistance in preparing for participation in such an important event.

Український музей Австралії з сумом повідомляє про непоправну страшну втрату...
Пішов з життя наш прекрасний, один з найкращих волонтерів Bohdan Herczaniwski. Для нашої волонтерської спільноти та музею він був незамінним майстром , людиною, яка роками зберігала та лагодила надбання музею, відповідальний, щирий, добрий.
Щиро в скорботі за вами, наш Bob the Builder , нам дуже не вистачає, вас, друже!
Спочивайте з миром...Світла пам'ять...
The Ukrainian Museum of Australia is saddened to announce the irreparable and terrible loss...
Our wonderful, one of the best volunteers, Bohdan Herczaniwski, has passed away....
For our volunteer community and the museum, he was an irreplaceable master, a man who for years preserved and repaired the museum's assets, responsible, sincere, kind.
