Two extraordinary contemporary folk acts. One intimate night of soaring strings, stories from the road, and music that slips between wild landscapes and candlelit rooms.

Joining us are Mickey & Michelle and Apolline for an evening of virtuosic folk music that stretches beautifully between tradition and invention.

From fiery reels and Scandinavian-inspired melodies to intimate airs and adventurous improvisation, this is music full of movement, texture and heart. Think harp, fiddle, cello and bass weaving together into something cinematic, intricate and alive.

PLUS: Free Artist Talk with your concert ticket!
Before the show, Mickey & Michelle will share stories from their hiking adventures through Aotearoa/New Zealand, how walking shaped the music they wrote along the way, and practical insights into building your own hiking life.

🕓 Artist Talk: 4–5pm
🚪 Doors: 6:30pm
🎶 Show: 7–9:30pm (with interval)

CALL TO CREATE: In The Quiet

Is quiet rest, strength, or something imposed?
What sits beneath it… what resists it?

We’re inviting artists to explore the textures, absences and tensions of quiet. However that unfolds in your work.

This is a guided brainstorming session led by Kim Carter and Kristen Retallick designed for sharing early ideas, asking questions, and exploring possibilities together.

We’ll work through ideas as a group, building and shaping them into directions for our 2026–2027 program. It’s a space for testing thoughts together and seeing what grows. Come along, listen, contribute, and be part of shaping what’s next.
