A good realist artist does more than make something look like a photograph. They make it look convincingly real, while still feeling like a piece of art. 🎨

With wildlife realism in particular, understanding the animal anatomy matters enormously. A skilled wildlife artist captures its posture, movement, character and environment—not simply its physical appearance.

That’s often the difference between “that looks exactly like a bird” and “that feels like a living bird.” 🦅

By popular demand, our vanilla slice will be available this Saturday and Sunday 10 till 4.

Happy to get the news that my pelican painting will be heading to the Holmes Art Prize in October as a finalist in the exhibition.
It will be on display in Narrawong for the next two weeks in case you haven’t seen it in the flesh.
