“Intentionally Random “ an exhibition by the Narrabri Branch of the Embroiderer’s Guild of NSW Inc. opening in the Gallery on Friday 4th September @ 10am morning tea will be served. All are welcome .

Taking pride of place in Julia Creek's Peter Dawes park, the Mosaic Chair was undertaken by the members of the Julia Creek Arts Council and was funded by the Regional Arts Development Fund and McKinlay Shire Council.

The design was inspired by the native local flora. The main feature is the Flinders Poppy primelea decora. The colour of the background was chosen to represent the golden colour of the dry grass.

In all, 26 people from the community ranging in ages from 9 to 79 helped in some way to complete the project, with approximately 400 hours of work undertaken throughout 2010 and 2011. The whole project, from design to completion, was under the guidance of mosaic artist, Claudia Williams.

Congratulations to all winners and the over all winner at the Marg Fernance memorial Exhibition at the Craft Gallery.
Narrabrites voted and we had over 200 votes plus 91 articles of craft. So pleased with the exhibition.
Our overall winner was Paige Dean and runner up Nancy Ryan.
I would just like to say that Paige is a very new at crochet, but soo talented in this area.👏👏
Class 1 - knitting/ crochet- Paige Dean with her majestic dream catcher.
Class 2 - embroidery/ Nancy Ryan
Class 3- patchwork- Nancy Ryan
Class 4- crossstitch- Nancy Ryan
Class 5 - small sewn - Ellen Solomon
Class 6- Any other article- Paige Dean for her crocheted hot dog!
Thank you to the 13 exhibitors for your support of the exhibition.
We will again run this next year. So you can get sewing, knitting etc now.

Attention all craft lovers.❤️
Today til 1:30pm and from 9am to 11am tomorrow at our monthly verandah sat. to vote in our inaugural Marg Fernance’s exhibition. Remember it is a people’s choice winner.
