I’m so pleased to share that my painting In The Bay has been selected as a finalist in the Corner Store Gallery Regional Art Prize 2026.
As an artist living and working in regional Australia, this recognition feels especially meaningful. There is an incredible depth of creativity beyond our capital cities, with artists drawing inspiration from the places they call home and the communities they’re part of. Awards like this shine a light on the richness, diversity and quality of work being created across regional, rural and remote Australia, and I’m proud to be included among such talented company.
This year, 75 finalists were selected from more than 300 entries, creating an exhibition that celebrates the breadth of talent across regional Australia. From painting and ceramics to photography, textiles and more, it’s a wonderful showcase of the stories, landscapes and perspectives that make regional art so distinctive.

If you’re in Orange, I’d love for you to stop by and explore the exhibition.

🌟I have a new exhibition coming up at the Tamworth Regional Gallery!

‘Nest of the Whistling Kite’ features new work created over the last 18 months that focuses on the landscapes to be found on our farm. Located near Curlewis, south of Gunnedah, the property features a unique landscape situated on the western end of Long Mountain, a series of rocky outcrops and cliffs that overlook the surrounding plains.

🗓 The exhibition will run from 22 August until 11 October, and I will be giving an artist talk on Saturday, 29 August at 2pm at the gallery.

Hope you can pop in to see the exhibition while it’s on ☺️

The Way of Birds is about to begin its own journey.

I’ve always been fascinated by birds. The way they move across our landscapes. They seem to know where they’re going, connecting places that are sometimes hundreds of kilometres apart. They’re a reminder that the landscape is never still.

These paintings celebrate those moments of movement and connection. Through layers of colour, pattern and line, I wanted to capture not just the birds themselves, but the feeling of watching them become part of the country they travel through.

I can’t wait to see this collection hanging in the gallery and, hopefully, finding new homes.

🖤 The Way of Birds is coming soon.

I’m incredibly excited to share that my painting Sharing The Track has been selected as a finalist in the 2026 Pro Hart Outback Art Prize at the Broken Hill City Art Gallery.

This little wallaby, quietly making its way along a bush track, came from my love of those unexpected moments in the Australian landscape. The moments that make you slow down and appreciate sharing this country with its wildlife.

It’s an honour to have this work included in one of Australia’s most respected celebrations of Outback art, alongside so many talented artists from around the country.

🎨 A New Portrait Prize for Narrabri Shire!
I’m excited to see the launch of the inaugural Narrabri Portrait Prize: Local Lives, presented by The Tourist Hotel Narrabri.
Portraiture has a unique ability to tell stories, celebrate character, and capture the people who help shape our communities. This new prize will shine a spotlight on the faces and stories of Narrabri Shire, creating a lasting visual record of the people who live, work and contribute to our region.

As an artist who loves painting people and sharing their stories through portraiture, I’m thrilled to see a new opportunity like this emerge in regional Australia. Supporting local artists, local stories and local people is something worth celebrating.
I encourage artists to consider entering and helping build what I hope becomes a much-loved annual event for Narrabri Shire.

⭐️Who would you paint to represent the spirit of our region?
