The new liveried XPTs are not on the afternoon train but here's the old unrefurbished still on the job at Nambucca Heads. We will go back early Saturday to catch the early train in its splendour.

We are currently selling copies at the Headland Museum, 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, at the Nambucca Bowling Club and Mary Boulton Pioneer Cottage and Museum, Macksville, Wednesday and Saturday 1 to 4 p.m.

Rachel will also be signing and selling the book along with Trevor Lynch's Nambucca Anzacs at the Lions Market on Sunday October 5th.
All proceeds from the sale go to the Nambucca District Historical Society so get a good read and help preserve the history of the Nambucca Valley.

The amenity of regional rail travel has been reduced by the removal of 3 and 6 month discovery passes. Sign the petition to have them reinstated.
The petition: To the President and Members of the Legislative Council, the petitioners of New South Wales state that the 3-month and 6-month NSW Discovery Passes once made regional and long-distance travel genuinely accessible. Their removal has left only 14-day and 30-day options — significantly more expensive, inflexible, and poorly suited to the realities of regional and interstate travel across the full NSW TrainLink network. The petitioners request that the House call on the Minister for Transport to reinstate the affordable 3-month and 6-month Discovery Passes, or introduce an equivalent long-term option without further delay. These passes supported students, young people, and low-income travellers — connecting communities to education, medical care, work, and family.
