My name is Rhianna McCutchen, I am a proud Biripi woman from northern NSW, living locally on Gubbi Gubbi country since birth. I have just started my business Mirii Yanan, which translates to shooting star & thrilled to release my very first original artwork available for purchase. This piece was inspired by the femininity within my mob. It is a journey through women hood & women empowering women. Women supporting, encouraging, and uplifting each other to help one another thrive. There is so much suffering in silence & this artwork is a representation of connection within the community. This piece is called "Tiddas" translation is sisters & also refers to a close female friend, elder or a woman you share a strong bond with.
Acrylic based pastels of pink hues accompanied with gradient earthy browns & touches of gold highlights. Each art piece is 45×30 on wood canvas.
