A bit of a hickup with our club member volunteers as some traders left a little early or mistakenly those collecting missed covering all areas. So if you did not rebook and need sites for next year ring the museum 0474 788 132 between 10.00 am and 3.00pm. Best bet is Monday to Wednesday when Pauline is there as she knows the booking system backwards. Please give her a little thanks as she has been doing this since the first swap in 2003.

A great swap. Sadly I was informed late Sunday that two persons who had a site over towards the back of the houses I believe, declined to pay the $5 per person. They declined to pay that money even though it was to go to Camp Quality and Marine Rescue. Please note that those persons who wish to decline that money next year will be refused entry. If they have already booked for next year and still do not want to pay the $5 per person then I will refund the fee. Camp Quality since the first swap in 2003 have received over $100,000 from this swap. Marine Rescue have only been involved for about the past 6 years or so have received less.

My I suggest that traders not apply a great deal of throttle to their vehicles as they are getting to their sites on Saturday. The ground is best described as being damp and would not take much to get bogged.

Courtesy bus will take us to the Nabiac Hotel for a meal at 5.45 pm and 6.00pm. However I have asked that the bus only come in as far as the house otherwise further damage might be caused to the grounds.

It seems like we are getting a good roll up of interesting machines this year so if you want one then go and hit the bank. I have just been advised that there will be a 1949 500 ES2 Norton for sale at the swap. This machine is complete, a goer and presently on Club Plates which of course do not go with the machine.

The weather gods have shone a light on us and all systems are for a "Go Ahead". The ground is damp and although we have a couple of sunny days coming up some careful driving is required so as not to get vehicles bogged. We will have a small trailer available to take heavy items such as engines out to buyers vehicles. The usual car park is very wet so will only hold about half the cars, so parking in Clarkson Street will be necessary, please avoid parking on driveways.

Also one interstate trader tells me he is bringing a number of incomplete projects. These include a 1956 G80 for $2,800, several rigid G3L for about $1,500 each, 1932 OHV 350 AJS for $2,800 and a number of frames, engines and tanks. No you are not going to ride them home, plenty of work yet to be undertaken.

Another trader tells me he is bringing a 1955 B33 BSA and a 1955-56 VH Red Hunter Ariel. He tells me that they are in good original condition and have been in storeage for many years.

Traders ONLY in on Saturday. No bric-brac, so please do not try us out to see if you can get away with anything other Motorcycle, Car or Truck machines and/or parts.

Saturday afternoon the bus will be available about 5.45 pm and 6.00 pm to take us to the Nabiac Hotel for a meal. It will collect passengers up at the house when you first drive in.

Looking at the weather forecast we might have a bit of luck on our side. No more rain predicted this week. The only problem will be that some areas have moist ground but not as bad as several years back.

No doubt the farmers will be happy with the recent rain. However more rain fell during the night. We were going to do the line marking today but they might now be on hold. Site holders please keep an eye on this page. More than likely we will have the postpone. We have an obligation to the owners of the grounds to not cause undue damage to the grounds. As soon as a decision is made I will post it on here.

Getting closer to Sunday the 26 July for our annual Nabiac Automotive Swap Meet. This event is promoted by the Taree & District Vintage and Classic Motorcycle Club. Site booking required and can be obtained by contacting the museum. One again just a reminder that this swap is for Motorcycle, Car and Truck parts ONLY. No bric-a-brac, furniture or other items are not permitted to be displayed or sold. The attached photos below are of machines that will be for sale. Several interstate traders attending. All proceeds go to Camp Quality and Marine Rescue Forster/Tuncurry. Always keep an eye on this site in case of any changes that have to be made owing to unpredictable weather conditions.

For those folks who booked and paid for sites last year you still have the same site and no further money is required for this year. The swap last year and the back up date in late September were both cancelled owing to rain. Some folks may recall about 5 - 6 years ago we ran one with the grounds very wet and soggy. Tractors and four wheel drive vehicles used to tow traders out. The ground was left very damaged.
