Taubman & Webb Trading Post

Taubman & Webb Trading Post TWTP is a Tribute Centre for the Late Syd Bayliss and Richard Taubman. We also have a range of Akubra hats, R M Williams boots, Bedourie and Furphy camp ovens.

When Richard Taubman first met the late bushman and WW1 veteran Syd Bayliss in 1973 the 13 year old school boy just wanted to learn to make his own stock whip for cattle work on the family property at Murringo. Yet that meeting changed his life and today, Richard exhibits a passion for Australian bush craft and the ability to make highly prized fine name plaited whips, walking sticks, belts and ma

ny other items. The Taubman & Webb Trading Post was officially opened and dedicated on the 20th October 2013 by Joy McKean OAM and is also the gracious Ambassador for the 'Store'. Walking in the wonderful natural smell of leather greets you and you are taken on a journey of two generations, one who travelled every state with a wagonette and four in hand as a Hawker and the other who has followed in his footsteps in a 1980 Landcruiser and trailer. Not only is a story told and displayed but also many items for sale featuring Kangaroo Leather.
