Dan Davies is a 2-time World Champion Creative Blacksmith and founder of Metal Masterpieces, known for hand forged public sculptures across Australia. He was named 2025 Citizen of the year and 2024 Micro Business of the year. He is co-founder of the Forge Ahead program, using Blacksmith Workshops to engage and mentor at risk youth, teaching young people to build skills, confidence and purpose.
He recently featured on Channel 9 program My Way.
Dan attended Heritage Day last year and is coming to Murgon again on Saturday 3rd October for our 2026 Heritage Day.

Looking forward to Goomeri State School year1/2 tomorrow for a visit. The museum is a great source of information and shows students firsthand what life was like in the past. Always a pleasure to have schools visit. They will also get to see how butter was made and get to taste.
