Experience LUSTRE: Contemporary Artists in Greece & Crete, a captivating exhibition now showing at Mudgee Arts Precinct.

Inspired by the landscapes, culture and extraordinary light of Greece and Crete, this exhibition also tells a deeper story. In 2025, a group of Australian and New Zealand artists retraced the footsteps of ANZAC soldiers who served during the 1941 Greece and Crete campaigns, visiting the landscapes where stories of courage, endurance and sacrifice unfolded during the Second World War. The journey followed in the path of renowned Australian war artist William Dargie, whose works documented these historic events.

Through painting, photography and contemporary art, LUSTRE reflects on the enduring connections between Australia, New Zealand and Greece, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience both the beauty of the Mediterranean and the legacy of those who served.

Whether you're drawn to contemporary art, history, or the ANZAC story, this remarkable exhibition is not to be missed.

Exhibiting Artists:
Riste Andrievski, Angeliki Androutsopoulos, Deirdre Bean, Michael Bradfield, Michelle Hiscock, Alan Daniel Jones, Joanna Logue, Steve Lopes, Euan Macleod, Natalie Leontaris O’Connor, Amanda Penrose Hart & Rodney Pople
