✨ A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Opening Night of ART CONNECT 2026 — MONCAS 5th Annual Art Exhibition! What a wonderful evening it was — full of energy, creativity, and community spirit. 🙌
👏 A big round of applause for our 22 incredible member artists whose works have truly transformed the gallery space. The evening was filled with vibrant conversations, new connections, and a shared love for the power of art.
And a special shoutout to our little artists (ages 5–13) for their amazing contributions to “Sustainable City” — our Reuse, Rethink, Recycle Through Art project. You made us so proud! 🌱♻️
📍 Haven’t visited yet? The exhibition is open daily until 21st June, from 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Closed Mondays).

🎉 YAfR is NOW OPEN! 🎉

We had a fantastic opening night on Friday and are so grateful to everyone who came to celebrate with us. Huge thanks to Cr Brian Little for the honour of officially opening the exhibition, and to for his ongoing support.

MONCAS is proud to present Youth Art for Reconciliation 2026 – featuring powerful artworks by students from 12 local schools and preschools. 🎨

This annual exhibition is dedicated to fostering connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. Each year, young artists from the City of Monash and beyond share their creative expressions on themes that inspire understanding, solidarity, and meaningful conversations about Indigenous rights and a more equitable future.

Celebrate Youth Art for Reconciliation (YAfR) 2026! 🖤💛❤️On behalf of MONCAS, we are thrilled to invite you to the 2026 Youth Art for Reconciliation Exhibition at The Track Gallery!
Coinciding with National Reconciliation Week and this year’s theme, ‘All In’, the exhibition showcases powerful, creative perspectives from talented young students across the City of Monash and surrounds. Through stunning displays of visual art, these young artists share their reflections on Aboriginal culture, truth-telling, and our shared reconciliation journey.
We are incredibly honoured to have Wurundjeri Elder Uncle Ian Hunter join us for a traditional opening welcome.Come along, support our future leaders, and join the conversation. All are warmly invited!

A relaxed hour of focused art practice around a still life setup. Bring your own supplies and sketch or paint in your preferred medium. A great opportunity to connect with fellow artists and sharpen your skills.

Art Connect Monthly Workshop: Stitching Stories in Photographs with Abhijit Pal

Discover how hand stitching can turn a photograph into a personal artwork! Using simple embroidery techniques, you’ll add texture, pattern, and narrative to your printed image. Please bring a photo print (preferably 8x10 inches) to create your own unique story.

We’re so excited to announce our Sustainable City Workshops — a 5-week hands-on program for kids aged 6–13, facilitated by MONCAS Member Artists & , proudly supported by City of Monash. 🏙✨
Turn trash into treasure and help build a giant collaborative Futuristic City — one Saturday at a time! Every session, kids create a different piece of the city using recycled materials. At the end, all five sections connect into one incredible art installation, displayed at The Track Gallery in June 2026!

We are so excited to announce the details of our upcoming art sessions on Saturday, the 7th of March, at the Craft Room in the Mt Waverley Community Centre.

We have the absolute pleasure of hosting the incredibly talented artist ! 🎨

Cheryle is an intuitive mixed-media artist, storyteller, and educator with over 30 years of experience. Known for her love of layered textures, vibrant colors, and nature-inspired themes, she’ll be sharing her magic with us in two special ways:

SESSION 1: FOR MEMBERS ONLY
📘 Artist Practice Circle: Creating an Artist’s Accordion Book.
Join Cheryle for a demonstration on how to create your very own artist book.
⏰ Time: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM

SESSION 2: OPEN TO EVERYONE
🐦 Art Connect Monthly Workshop: Intuitive Bird-Themed Mixed Media.
A hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop where you can explore mixed media art with a whimsical bird theme. No experience needed!
