Due to signs of deterioration, in 2025 the Plantagenet Historical Society received funding to build a canopy over the Mason House to protect it from the weather. The house is one of the last complete habitable slab-built structures in the Great Southern.

The Museum will be closed tomorrow Saturday 25th April for Anzac Day.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

The Museum is in need of more volunteers to work in the garden. Just 3 hours or so a week would help greatly. So if you have some time, or if you know of someone who would like to help out please call Roz at the Museum on 9851 2505.
If we don't find more volunteers soon, the garden area will have to be reduced, which will be a real shame.

Our wonderful volunteer tour guides recently hosted a tour of the Museum for the Sou'West Getaway Club when they visited our shire. They were so happy with their visit they sent us this certificate, which will take pride of place on our notice board.

The Museum recently had some restoration works done to the driveway and between some of the buildings to fix up the potholes and muddy ground. It's looking great 🙂

It was a perfect day for our annual volunteer Christmas party last week. Thankyou to those who prepared the food, set the tables and of course those who cooked the delicious barbecue 🙂

Our regular pest fogging of the buildings will take place this Monday 3rd November, so be careful if walking past. It is also advised to avoid a walk through the gardens.
