VISITORS CENTRE “OPEN”: Saturday 20th June 2026 (1pm to 3pm)
Our Visitors Centre, situated at Ridge Road, Morwell will again be “OPEN” tomorrow Saturday, 20th June, from 1pm to 3pm.
As always, visitors will be warmly welcomed and should allow at least an hour to take full advantage of all features.
The “visitors experience” will be a memorable one as the Visitors Centre displays the history of the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria’s coal production and electricity generation industry in the Latrobe Valley.
The broad range of inter-active “hands-on” and static displays “on show” aim to provide visitors of all ages, with a greater understanding of the electricity generation industry, since coal was first discovered in the Latrobe Valley in 1873, through to the current “privatisation” era.
“Self-guided” tours, over the Visitors Centre’s two floor levels are available, and included also, is the opportunity to experience a short power industry video presentation, which is screened in our comfortable theatrette.
Ample car parking is available, which includes panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
ENTRY FEES: $5.00 for adults. Children under 15 years are free. Concession Card Holder, Seniors Card and Students over 15 years $2.50.
