is an Australian artist whose practice is centred on oil painting, creating contemporary still lifes that draw from personal memory, symbolism, and carefully observed everyday objects. Her work reflects a strong foundation in traditional painting techniques while bringing a fresh, contemporary sensitivity to composition and subject matter.

Through intimate arrangements and a restrained yet emotive visual language, Novella’s paintings explore themes of nostalgia, identity, and connection. Her work transforms familiar objects into quietly narrative scenes, inviting viewers to find meaning in the subtle details of domestic life and shared memory.

Our May group show is ‘Objects at Rest’, a show exploring new contemporary interpretations of the traditional still life genre. Presented at Superwow Gallery on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, the exhibition brings together a diverse selection of artists who reimagine this historic form through a contemporary lens — challenging ideas of permanence, domesticity, symbolism, and material culture.

Objects at Rest reflects on how everyday objects and quiet compositions continue to resonate within contemporary practice, offering fresh perspectives on a timeless subject. We’re excited to share these incredible works with our collectors.
