We have fallen in love with this beautiful toy stove that was recently donated to the Society. It was made in Germany in the early 1900’s and has been played with by three generations of the family. It is in fabulous condition and has all of the accompanying pots and pans.
Now we will need to find an appropriate place in the Museum to put it on display.

This bridesmaids dress was worn by Joyce Suto for a wedding in England in April 1947 and is part of our newly installed display.
It is made from an early type of nylon material that was purchased using a meagre supply of clothing coupons, provided during the post-war rationing period. Our first reaction was that the dress is made out of raincoat material!
