JahRoc Galleries is currently an online gallery in Margaret River representing their own line of designer furniture together with an exclusive collection of fine art by Australian Artists plus Argyle pink diamonds and jewellery. JahRoc Furniture Est.1987 have forged a reputation as one of Western Australia’s leading furniture designer/makers with owners Gary Bennett and David Paris working togethe

r creating pieces that have been acquired by collectors around the globe. Using hand selected salvaged Western Australian native hardwoods, each piece is individually crafted. Gary and David work closely with their clients, adjusting designs and creating bespoke new designs to suit their needs. With over 40 major industry awards, the JahRoc design team are by far the most highly awarded furniture makers in Australia. JahRoc has experienced many chapters since 1987. Operating out of a small workshop/shed and retail space in Osborne Park until 1993, they then purchased a dilapidated Flour Mill in the inland town of York. An extensive renovation to restore the 4 story Flour Mill was undertaken, and their business quickly grew into a busy destination gallery with a large workshop where Gary and David trained over 20 cabinet makers and apprentices over a 16-year period. In the late 90’s Gary and Lara built a design studio and new home on the ocean front in Margaret River and in 2003 they opened a second gallery in the main street of town. By 2007 the JahRoc Furniture workshop moved to Margaret River, on a 40-acre bush block, which is still their current manufacturing home. David and Joanne also moved their family at that point and JahRoc became a solely Margaret River based business. JahRoc established iconic recognition for their retail space, JahRoc Galleries, located on the main street of Margaret River. Gary and David together with their wives Lara and Joanne curated the inspirational and very successful Fine Furniture & Art gallery for 20 years until July 2023, when they decided to sell their beautiful main street property and opt for a lifestyle change. The JahRoc team now focus on custom furniture orders and online sales of furniture, art and jewellery. Echo and JahRoc Brands Unite!

Gary Bennett and Mark Stothard have a chat about the future of JahRoc and their long standing friendship.

We are incredibly excited and honoured that the JahRoc Brand has been picked up and will be carried on by the prestigious Western Australian company: Echo Marine Group.

Echo Marine Group manufacture high spec luxury Superyachts from concept to completion, enjoying the reputation of building the largest Superyachts in the Southern Hemisphere. The owner/director Mark Stothard is fired up to run JahRoc alongside his thriving shipbuilding business in Henderson, WA.

Echo have the exclusive rights to manufacture JahRoc Furniture designs going forward which they will produce in house under the capable hands of their very skilled craftsmen.

Carrying on a brand such as JahRoc would be a daunting task for most, however with the passion, drive and integrity that Mark has shown in all of his endeavours, confirms that he, of all people will do it justice and no doubt take it to new a level of prestige.

This acquisition will see Gary and Dave stepping out of their JahRoc shoes and saying goodbye to their incredibly successful business partnership of 40 years.

JahRoc Furniture as you have known it under the ownership of Gary and David is now finished and Mark Stothard of Echo will take it forward from here.

The unfolding of JahRoc's new chapter under the helm of Echo Marine Group will be a very exciting journey for us all to follow.

The JahRoc Brand has been acquired by Echo Marine Group!

Our good friends spanning 30 years Mark Stothard and his wife Leanne Stothard came to Margaret River for a weekend get away and whilst down we all caught up for a social visit.

Timing plays such a huge part in future outcomes, and this was a classic case of being in the right place at the right time for both parties. And of course a very large factor being Marks wide vision and his intuition to act on opportunity.

At the time we were 14 days away from an Auction, selling off 40 years worth of accumulated plant and equipment; timber, machinery, tools, patterns etc which would mark the end of JahRoc Furniture manufacturing as we knew it.

Strong sentimentality and reflection on a fantastic career and the joy JahRoc has given to so many were thrown into conversation between Gary and Mark over dinner.

Mark, also a professional photographer, thought he would visit the workshop the following day and take some photos for memorabilia before it was all wrapped up.

Whilst there he felt the passion, the creative energy, and the idea that he could remodel and bring JahRoc into a new chapter, working it along-side his highly successful superyacht company, Echo Marine Group in Henderson.

The concept was born, and within 3 days the deal was drawn up, highlighting Mark Stothards highly driven personality and power to move mountains.
