What Happened at The Mareeba Heritage Centre in April & May?
What a wonderful couple of months it has been at the Mareeba Heritage Centre!
💪Team building
Sandrine made Tracy go on a team building/hiking/rock scrambling holidays in Cradle Mountain in Tasmania and in the Grampians in Victoria. It was a fun week, Tracy accused Sandrine of trying to kill her, but in the end, all was well, she came home in one piece, refreshed and converted to hiking 😎
💃Latino Night in April
Our Latino Night was a huge success, with the amazing Amazonas bringing the Centre alive with vibrant Latino music. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy, dancing, laughter and plenty of fun all round. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a memorable evening.
👨🍳Meet Our New Chef – Curtis
We are so lucky to welcome our talented new chef Curtis Gillow to Savannah Café. His passion for food truly shines through in every dish he creates. Inspired by his travels and love for cooking, Curtis brings flavour and heart to every meal.
🪭Filipino Night in May
As part of our “Take Your Tastebuds Around the World” event series, our Filipino Night was another fantastic evening. Guests enjoyed beautiful traditional dances, delicious food and wonderful entertainment from Ari, whose stunning voice made the night extra special. Thank you, Ari, for helping create such a beautiful atmosphere.

Our next event is our very own Aussie Night featuring the legendary Wait a While Band! There are still a few tables left, so don’t leave it too late to book and enjoy a true blue Aussie experience filled with music, culture and great company.

Mother’s Day was incredibly busy with back-to-back bookings. A huge thank you to the Mareeba community for your ongoing support. We loved helping families celebrate the special mums in their lives.
