Celebrate Winter Solstice at MASpace gallery.
Step into a three day Winter Solstice gathering of art, making and quiet reflection. Across the weekend the gallery is open daily from 10am to 8pm hosting The Turning: A Solstice Experience. An immersive sound and light installation tracing the passage from darkness toward the return of the light. Visitors are invited to move gently through the space and contribute a personal wish to a growing collective work.
Let's get together on Friday 19th June with a special Crafternoon event Knit Happens! Knit a 15 x 15cm square and we will gather them all together in a Solstice Blanket. Join our afternoon of sustainable making including yarn bombing and open weaving.
At 5pm Mallacoota P-12 college presents a projection of student art works with refreshments.
Saturday offers some creative workshops TBC.
On Sunday 21 June the Mallacoota Healing Singers close the weekend with a 5pm to 6pm performance followed by shared refreshments.

TAIR 2025
The first TAIR Artist in Residence was Kim Marcovitch.
"The TAIR Residency gave me the kickstart I needed to get my own art making practice going again. I have been teaching Visual Arts for 20 years now and I have not had the opportunity to engage in my own art practice. The Mallacoota art community was supportive, kind and encouraging in helping me pursue my artistic goals."
