🇨🇦 **A big Emu Ridge welcome to Maïka & Maélie from Québec, Canada!** 🇦🇺🌿
We’re very excited to be hosting another two tourism internship students from ** Collège Laflèche in Trois-Rivières, Québec**.
Our relationship with Laflèche College goes back to **2017**, with students travelling all the way to Kangaroo Island to complete their tourism internships with us at Emu Ridge. We feel pretty honoured that, with tourism businesses all over the world to choose from, students continue to choose **Emu Ridge and Kangaroo Island** for this experience. 💚
One of their teachers & his wife even visited us recently to see for himself what makes Kangaroo Island so special and where their students have been coming all these years.
Over their six-week internship, Maïka and Maélie will get involved in all sorts of jobs around Emu Ridge that are part of our tourismbusiness, reception, retail sales, restocking the shop, making gift packs, bottling eucalyptus oil, waitressing, cleaning and of course tour guiding & learning great customer service.
🌿 **Meet Maïka**
Maïka is 20 years old and loves travelling, animals and outdoor activities. She describes herself as funny, friendly and spontaneous, and she’s looking forward to discovering more of beautiful Kangaroo Island.
🌿 **Meet Maélie**
Maélie is 19 and loves travelling, outdoor activities, shopping and spending time with her family. She’s friendly and easy-going and is very excited to learn more about Kangaroo Island and Emu Ridge during her internship.
A big thank you to their **parents and teachers for trusting us with the girls while they are so far from home**. We hope Maïka and Maélie have an amazing six weeks, make plenty of memories and take a little bit of Kangaroo Island back to Québec with them. 💚
