It’s been a tough week. Opened my Gallery back in Oct 2021. Even though there were challenges, with Covid restrictions, Gallery location, the passing of my parents during that time. I still have so many happy memories of the fun and creativity that was shared with so many, who came in for a coffee and a look around, fun evenings of Paint and Sip, Life drawing, lovely customers just coming in for a morning tea/coffee and a chat with me. Fellow Artists just dropping in to show me their Art and having some real space and time to be creative on my own. It was a very enjoyable few years. I’ve been putting off packing it all away and for a while, I couldn’t even bring myself to walk in the Gallery as it’s hard to let it all go. But, the time has come, so I’ve spent the last few days and will spend the next week packing up my paints and easels, finding new homes for Artwork, and clearing it all out. It’s a challenge for sure, but it’s time to move on. New owners take possession of the building soon, and life is all about change. Hopefully, lots of new opportunities are waiting in the future. It’s been a crazy ride, but I feel so grateful that I was able to jump on board and have those experiences. I will never regret having the courage to put myself out there and run this little Gallery for a while. It gave so much joy to everyone.
