🏁 MAJOR SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – SHANNONS INSURANCE! 🏁

Wherever there are motoring enthusiasts, you can bet Shannons will be there! 🏎️

For decades, Shannons has been a proud supporter of Australia’s car club community, attending around 1,200 motoring events every year. As the insurer of choice for passionate motoring enthusiasts, Shannons offers flexible insurance options designed with people who love their cars in mind.

We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Shannons back as our Major Sponsor for the Holden & GM Car Show 2026! 🙌 A huge thank you to the team at Shannons for their continued support of our club and the motoring community.

Make sure you swing by the Shannons marquee on show day and say g’day to Rod Belbin and his crew! Have a chat about your pride and joy, share a few car stories, and find out how Shannons can help protect the vehicles you love.

Happy 50th Birthday LE 🎂

The Final Holden Monaro Coupe – HX "Limited Edition" (Released September 1976)

While not its own distinct generation, September 1976 saw the emotional release of the Holden Limited Edition (LE) Coupe.

Utilizing the legendary dual-headlight Monaro HJ/HX body shell, Holden built just 580 units at the Pagewood plant. It explicitly dropped the "Monaro" badge, simply being called the Holden Limited Edition, to clear out the remaining two-door bodies as consumer tastes shifted.

It came standard in an iconic metallic LeMans Red with gold pinstripes, a plush red velour interior, and a 308 cubic-inch V8.

And whilst we don't have one of these rare sights on display currently we still had to let Rory say "hip hip hooray" 🦁
