Starting again … trying to get this special piece. This ‘Shangri-La’ on top of the mountains. Started over a year ago, just a few days before cyclone Jasper hit. Gearing myself now to finally get it.
Not sure if I like the water so fast flowing … we have had a bit of rain. So will wait for conditions to improve.
It’s a 2.5h hike in and you have to get there well before sunrise. But I have worked out a little trick for that … 🙂
Cross fingers that I will be successful in the coming months.

Another client this week were looking a 'odd' sizes. Not standard sizes ... but a little longer and a little bit more deeper.
So we together marked out the two spots they were thinking and chose the 175cm size, but instead of the standard 57cm depth ... they went for 65cm.
They chose the same size for both the bedroom and the living room; a little bonus is that they can swap and change whenever they feel like it.
I think they are going to be very happy.
I'll see if I can post more photographs after installing.

A really lovely couple got carried away and purchased eight large pieces. Four for the living room and one for each bedroom. They look really great.
I was also taken back how well they held their colour and brightness. They didn't have any direct lights on them ... just ambient.
They were a local client, a second-time purchaser, and as a service, I dropped down with a few pieces and with masking tape to mark out the walls with ideas that they might have. I then did mockups to help them visualise and be really happy with their purchase. I have attached here.
I often do mockups, it really can be helpful in choosing the right image and the right size. I'll attach a few examples.

Just finished installing "Palm Cove Sunrays" at the 120x160cm in a holiday apartment. It looks really beautiful.
We were all commenting on just how well it holds up in low light. It is a relatively dark image with lots of black ... the silhouette of the palm trees against the morning sky.
I have taken a few photos here with no lights, but the evening glow from outside. Then of course with an ambient ceiling light turned on in the corridor.
This lovely couple can't wait to receive their fourth piece ... Hook & Hardy.

Recently, an Australian now living in Canada, purchased "We Are One" to decorate his beautiful Vancouver home; in preparation for his son's wedding.

He had a particular place that he wanted to hang it ... to be seen as you come in through the entrance. A wall 22 inches wide. So after a few mock-ups, we came up with just the right size: one-eighth of an inch narrower. A perfect fit.
