Open every day in school holidays and on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday during school term from10.00am to 4.00pm with last entry at 3.30pm. Coal Creek Community Park & Museum was initially created to preserve the unique history of coal, the development of the South Gippsland railway and the rural settlement which was accelerated by the dairy and timber industries. Come take a walk t

hrough time and explore the large collection of artifacts housed in the many heritage buildings in a village-like setting. We acknowledge the Bunurong and Gunaikurnai people as the Traditional Custodians of the Country upon which Coal Creek Community Park and Museum stands and the stories we represent, which have always been part of this land and its waters.

Explore the park's history on a guided tour amongst the lush landscape and heritage buildings. Then get creative as you make your very own peg doll to take home – a delightful handmade keepsake inspired by the past.⁠
