Rex-Livingston Projects has established a new exhibition space in central Katoomba, Blue Mountains, NSW at 182-184 Katoomba Street, Katoomba. The aim of our project space is to provide an opportunity for exceptional emerging and established artists to exhibit in a professionally managed space. Proposals are invited from emerging and established artists, groups and curators. LEASE INFO:
Exhibition
duration ranges from 1 week exhibitions to a maximum of 3 week exhibitions. A 50% deposit is required as confirmation of booking once exhibition dates have been confirmed and on signing the exhibition agreement. HIRE FEE inc gst;
1 week @ $850.
2 weeks @ $1550.
3 weeks @ $2350.
Gallery commission is 15% + gst on sales. Opening drinks, light catering and bar staff are split at 50% artist and 50% gallery (approx $85 each inc gst). GALLERY HIRE INCLUDES;
Marketing and Promotion;
Electronic mail out to our database / mailing list. Online presence via website pages displaying images, artist profiles and related information: www.rex-livingston.com/projects. Exhibition listings in: Art Almanac, Australian Art Sales Digest (gallery area), page for Rex-Livingston Projects, Linkedin page and artsview app plus other local press avenues. (Advertising can be arranged and quoted as required). For an additional cost the gallery can professionally design and produce 300 quality hardcopy invites. Printed brochures / booklet catalogues quotes are also available on request. Management of exhibition
Curatorial advice and staffing for duration of the exhibition
Assistance with hanging and installation of works
Production and printing of room list, CV and artist statement
Merchant facility for payments including eftpos, visa and mastercard
Insurance on artworks for loss, damage, theft etc., (however our excess is $1000 per claim so this is based on values above $2000)

PROPOSALS:
Rex-Livingston Projects accepts applications all year round. To apply for an exhibition, email [email protected] and include the following from our checklist below
CHECKLIST;
1. Your contact details.
2. The proposed title of your exhibition.
3. An artist statement about the work.
4. Your proposed exhibition dates.
5. Any special installation requirements (or questions).
6. Medium of work to be exhibited (and dimensions if known).
7. A selection of images of works to be exhibited in JPEG format, file 300dpi, max 1 MB file size per image.
8. Your artist CV (exhibition history / art education / courses undertaken etc.)
9. Disclosure of third party relationships, (shared commissions with other galleries, agents etc.) If your application is successful we will contact you regarding available dates. The Director, David Rex-Livingston, has more than 25 years’ experience in the art market covering areas such as Auction sales and management, gallery management for dealer galleries including Martin Browne Fine Art, along with formal academic qualifications in Art Education, Bachelor of Fine Arts (Curtin WA) and Postgraduate in Professional Art Studies from COFA, Sydney.
