Tucked away in a peaceful rural setting, " THE DAIRY " STUDIO / GALLERY is the home of artist Judy Garrard. Having recently moved to the beautiful Adelaide Hills from the city, the picturesque surroundings provide a perfect environment for Judy to "create". And we're all set up ready for a fabulous long weekend of exhibition fun and excitement 🤩

I am immensely proud of these girls for being brave enough to put their artwork on display and I must say that the exhibition looks outstanding.

Well done Rae, Liz, Carole, Naomi, Michelle and Diana on your beautiful artwork. Come and enjoy a drive in the countryside and treat yourself to a cuppa and maybe even a piece of original artwork!!!!

We are now only 8 days away from our group exhibition at 'The Dairy Studio/Gallery '.

There will be a beautiful and diverse range of artworks on display and for sale, all created during our Friday classes.

Do pop in for a browse over the course of the weekend and stay for a cuppa and a chat if you have time 🤩

I am really thrilled and excited to be hosting this exhibition in a few weeks time in my studio/gallery.

These wonderful ladies have been coming to classes for a few years now and for some of them this is their first opportunity to exhibit their work. Exhibiting can be a really daunting experience and they have very bravely agreed to run with it.

The majority of the artworks will be for sale so if you're interested in owning your own piece of original artwork then this is an excellent opportunity to start or add to your collection.
Pop in for a chat and a cuppa any time over the course of the three days, we'd love to see you.

Slowly, slowly preparations are progressing for this year's 'Painters of the Flinders Ranges ' exhibition in September.
' Wilpena Creek ' is a mixed media work on canvas, took many hours to complete and was a lot of fun to create.
The exhibition this year runs from 5th September to 5th October in the Wilpena Wool Shed.

I've been enjoying reminiscing on our days on Amorgos in the Greek Islands over the last few weeks in the studio.
So many photo opportunities, so much history and so much character - we had an amazing time and it's a treat to now be able to re- imagine some of my favourite shots.

It has been wonderful to meet and spend time with the lovely couple who have purchased these artworks, it's not an opportunity that presents itself that often.
I'm also extremely grateful that they have arrived safely through the post to their new interstate home - ' Forever the fossicker ' and ' Firmly Grounded '.
2025 has been a busy and rewarding year in the studio and I'm looking forward to a few weeks away from the easel now.

Straight off the board - 'Perfectly paired' - what a super combination, gum blossom from the garden and a little vintage jug that I scored from an op shop !!!!!
Painted in acrylics on oil paper, I'll have limited edition prints available in the near future 🤩

It's been warm the last few days in the Woolshed but it hasn't stopped hundreds of tourists flowing through the doors.
A few sales have come my way as well which is an added blessing, two small watercolours hot off the board and a catalogue painting today 🤩
It was such a treat to chat to the lovely lady from Sydney who bought the painting and an added bonus to give her a hug as she left 🥰
The exhibition closes tomorrow and has been hugely successful, thankyou to ' Painters of the Flinders Ranges ' for having me 🙏

Well it's been a magic day 🤩
Surrounded by fabulous artworks, the smell of lanolin, old squeaky floorboards and a revolving door of visitors, this has been my work station for the day.
The old Woolshed at Wilpena Station is a hive of activity and 'The Painters of the Flinders Ranges ' exhibition housed within its walls is a sight to behold.
Running until 6th October, it is a privilege for me to be a part of and I'm so grateful for the opportunity and the new challenges it has presented me.
If you're anywhere nearby in the next few days do drop in and have a look.

I was thrilled to learn over the weekend that 'Old Man Gum' is going to a new home.
Thankyou so much to the purchaser and to
'Painters of the Flinders Ranges ' for this opportunity.
A huge boost to this artist it certainly was!!!
The exhibition continues until 6th October in the Wilpena Woolshed.
