This Sunday the Soldiers Memorial Hall Museum is open from 10 til 2pm, and exciting news that our wonderful RSL Band will be playing in the park, so bring a chair, water bottle and umbrella and pop down at 63 Nicholas street Soldier Memorial Hall for music in the park.
They do an amazing job.

Hi all, Soldiers Memorial Hall Museum will have an open day this Sunday from 10am-2pm. Please come along and enjoy what our staff and museum have to offer.
Have a listen to some of our local history as our guides take you through the hall.
As a SPECIAL treat, our very own "Ipswich RSL Band" will be playing in the memorial garden out the front. Come along and have a listen. Theses young adults are really good!!!!

New Museum opening time is now 1000am until 2pm. Still the same service and guides.

šŸ˜€Hi all, our scheduled Museum open day has been cancelled this Sunday 30th November. Some of our staff are going on a well deserved break after a big year within the museum and RSL.
Our next open day will February 22nd, 2026. Our new opening times will be 1000hrs-1400hrs on the day.
We will keep you all up to date with goings on at the museum

šŸ˜ Hello everyone. Just to let you know that we will not be opening Soldiers Memorial Hall this Sunday 28th September.

We have been extremely busy with Galvanized festival and other events, and that our wonderful staff need a weekend off.

A big thank you for all those visitors we had for the Galvanized festival.

From the moment the RSL was founded in 1916, a lapel badge was included as a benefit of membership.

This badge not only indicated membership of the Returned Sailorsā€™ and Soldiersā€™ Imperial League (now known as the RSL) ā€“ it also served the equally important role of signifying a personā€™s status as a returned veteran.

Hi all, Soldiers Memorial Hall Museum will be open Sunday 31st August 2025
We have an added bonus of our Ipswich RSL Youth Band who will be playing some tunes on the day. These guys are fantastic.
Have a look at the museum and listen to some tunes in the park.
Renovations are complete on the top floor. A new display on a 9th Battalion gent is being developed.
Come one, come all.
Open hours are 9am till 3pm.
Plenty of parking.
