It's National Volunteers week! We shouldn't let the opportunity pass to thank our amazing team of volunteers operating the Eucalyptus Distillery Museum. The project kicked off 20 years ago and the museum has been open and growing for 15 years. Like trucks, "volunteers carry the nation". GREAT work team and thankyou to all who contribute(d).

Our hearty congratulations to Bosistos on the official opening of their new production plant yesterday at Kurraca. Bosistos has been a wonderful supporter of the museum since our inception and supplying us with our local Inglewood oil, along with other of their products. The new $10m plant will see ongoing production and a new chapter in the distillation processing of the marvellous "blue eucy" oil.

It's a good time to stock up on some "eucy" products before the dread of winter. Open 10-4 Thursday - Sunday.

Link to the ABC coverage of the official opening day including images.

A 174-year-old Australian company is trying to address a decline in local eucalyptus oil production by opening a new distillery in central Victoria.

May 14, a bumper day for the museum. Two large group tours visiting the region included a tour of the museum. Our host team were very busy and the groups enjoyed the demonstration of the oil distillation. Plenty of oil and unique products sold heading back to Sydney and Wood End. Thanks and great work Jackie, Jeff, Ian & Shane.

Today is National Eucalypt Day, which aims to raise awareness of eucalypts and celebrate the important place that they hold in the hearts and lives of Australians. Perhaps spend a few moments during the day to admire your local forest, trees and native plants.

Recognising the day, our Inglewood Eucalyptus Distillery Museum is once again delighted to announce its participation with the Loddon Arts Trail 2026 by hosting the "Eucy Art Show'. The inaugural event last year attracted a wonderful range of artworks focussed on Eucalypts, the importance within nature and the inspiration for our people. ".. a fantastic array of skill and creativity was on display". We are sure we can repeat that this year.

Again the prize pool is a tremendous $5000. Registrations open on 1st July and close 26th August. Details on the website : www.eucymuseum.com.au .

The image features some artworks from the 2025 competition from Terri MacDonald, Paula Markey, Ann Grogan, Geoff hocking, Lynda Robinson. We certainly appreciate their talent and contribution.
