Lone Pine the French planted with Sally Bertram’s Mother Virgina (Charles) Easson back in 2014 at the Horsham Cenotaph, commemorating Sally’s Grandfather Robert Edward Charles service to Horsham including several years from 1932-37 as President at the Horsham R.S.L.
Robert Edward Charles served in WW1. His photo was found in the Lost Digger glass slides found in the loft of an old farm barn in Vignacourt France along with 3000 glass slides of other Australian Soldiers. His service number was 7.
