Saw this show and despite the Trump style limitations it was quite beautiful. Perfect for the foyer of grand multistory buildings. Think Arp/Brancusi/Moore/ even Lichtensteins sculptural brushstrokes. What made it difficult to see however was the loud tour of aged US sightseers clueless about art who had paid a motza to see their countyman's work. The invigilator aggressively defended the right of the Biennale committee to make money from tour groups. Kind of ruined the experience esp as everyone else there was paying to see the work too. This was only a problem in the US pavilion. The Russian and Israeli pavilions were not allowed to open.

Galloping into our Dark M**o exhibition are Rose and Pistachio Equestriennes by Gregory B Nolan. We are opening this on Sunday 14th June. There will be work by Elizabeth Barsham, Naomi Roza, Laurie Young, Keith Lane, etc

Ah its a fine thing to head off for a holiday knowing that Penny Ashmore is captaining the HMAS Nolan Gallery so effectively. Works off to new home include art by Caroline McGregor, Jack Braudis, Erin Amor, Sarah L Stewart, Elizabeth Barsham, Jaclyn Poke, Jeanette James and Betty Nolan.
