The Peggy Guggenheim Museum has some wonderful abstract expressionist works. Here are some beginning with my favourite Hans Hoffman. I also love Pollocks Moon Woman.

The Ukraine exhibition at the Venice Biennale. Incredibly moving work from a number of invited artists. This palace room of marshmallow chandeliers smells of childhood. This Simone Post's work. Fantastic curation of the whole show.
I asked my companions before we left if it was necessary to have the whole ta**ry, entitled, pompous sideshow that the Biennale is if beautiful fruit like this is forthcoming. They said yes and I agreed.

Few shots from this morning. The fresh seafood and vegetables from the Rialto Market, arguably the most famous European market, the garbo boat (garbos wear fluoro green and teal) and a helicopter buzzing the dome of Santa Maria Maggiore. We had prawn fettuccine for lunch then went to Giardini to see some Biennale shows. Ice cream for afternoon tea. Home next week so savouring every moment.

Searching for Victoria Lu is a self titled exhibition covering two floors of Foscari University. An autobiographical enquiry the aim is to place AI as a collaborative artist tool. The artist is a prominent curator and artist born in Taiwan and with Chinese nationality. Ranging from calligraphic and traditional ink paintings to Judy Chicago style AI designed and printed table settings the themes embrace nationhood, aging and death and womanhood. An enormous show with work by other artists included.
