Featured is “Jug of Blooming Arrangements” by one of the region’s most loved artists, Julie Kent, a joyful piece full of life and colour. $800.

I am delighted to introduce our new Curator at MOCO Gallery, Shannan Martin.

Shannan studied Visual Arts at Ballarat University and brings both academic depth and creative insight to her role. Born and bred in the Grampians, she is a fourth-generation local with a deep connection to the region that has strongly shaped her love of art and nature.

She lives and works alongside her husband on their farm in Concongella, raising their two daughters, while her two older sons have now flown the coop.

Alongside her curatorial work, Shannan has established her own perfume range, where she already extracts a portion of her scents, with the ambition to one day extract her entire collection. Her creations are thoughtfully crafted from natural sources, many drawn from her own garden. A small selection is available at MOCO Gallery.

Shannan’s passion, creativity and strong sense of place bring a fresh and inspiring energy to the gallery.

We look forward to releasing a diary of art classes catering to all levels and interests. If you would like to receive this information, or if there is a particular discipline you are interested in exploring, please feel free to contact Shannan at [email protected]

An opportunity is also open to artists wishing to exhibit their work. Email Shannan with your information and images, and she will respond in due course.

Shannan will be at MOCO on Thursdays between 10am and 2pm for those who would like to meet her in person. It is recommended to make contact in advance to ensure availability.

I am confident Shannan will be warmly received by all, and I am truly delighted to welcome her to the MOCO team.

All those words. All those emotions.
History, family, loss, courage, reality.

This month’s Open Mic falls on Anzac Day. It feels important not to shy away from what that means. Not just as something remembered, but something that still echoes, still shapes us, and perhaps now feels closer to our own reality than we once imagined.

Through poetry, story and shared voice, we create space to reflect on division and peace, on devastation and healing, on death, honour and understanding.

This is an evening for listening, for sharing, for feeling.
For holding space for the past, and gently questioning the future.

Join us at MOCO Gallery for a night that invites depth, connection and reflection.

Don’t let the drab weather dull your love of the outdoors. Bring that beauty inside. These little treasures are the perfect way to brighten even the greyest of days.

Amabile, a celebrated Horsham artist and much loved by MOCO Gallery, captures the essence of our landscape with warmth and soul. This piece is truly a local beauty, full of life, colour and quiet charm.

A painting to fall in love with, bringing light, joy and a sense of place into your own special sanctuary.

Pop into the Gallery and enjoy it while it still hangs on our walls. This is a piece not to be missed.

Due to popular demand, and for those who didn’t quite get enough time to soak in Laurie’s stunning pieces—we’re extending the Laurie Evans Exhibition for another two weeks. With Easter on our doorstep, we thought it far too special an occasion to bring it to an end.

Now’s your chance to come and truly appreciate Laurie's incredible talent.

If you’ve been feeling the pull of FOMO get yourself down to MOCO 😆
