The Goodwood Art Window

The Goodwood Art Window 156 Goodwood Road, Goodwood, SA
A small community space for local artists to display their work It is well lit at night and viewable 24/7.

The front window of 156 Goodwood Rd was previously the facade for a real estate agent who displayed their house listings in the usual hanging frames, but the building's new proprietors are now offering it as a community art space. The window has high-profile exposure to the busy Goodwood Road, directly across from the Capri Cinema, wine bars and restaurants. We encourage local artists and communit

y groups to enquire about showing artwork or projects, free of charge, for 1-2 month periods. Small pieces on paper (A4 or A3) can be easily displayed in the existing hanging frames (see photographs) and we encourage you to think of creative ways this resource can be used. Larger free-standing work, easels or sculptures can be displayed in the annex behind the window (approx 2m x 4m)

Please message us via this page with your ideas or questions. Thanks to our hosts Emma Fitzgerald Neurospychology and Rothwell Neurospychology, for being generously community minded. Thanks to the City of Unley for sponsoring the project's signage and encouraging local art.

"Rehabilitation" is a huge splash of life and colour in oils. It's best enjoyed in person, so stop and have a look next time you're on Goodwood Road

One of four Don Brice B/W photographs on display in the Art window during June.

The Freedom Myth is the ever popular Wave-Rider photographed just down the road at the Wayville Showgrounds.

The images were made on film using a plastic toy camera from the 1960s. Photoshop was not required to bring us this dreamy nostalgic scene.
