Surfing Yugambeh Country is a vibrant six-piece collection that translates place into pattern, movement, and story.
Set against deep black backgrounds, each work uses luminous dot rhythms, concentric circles, and flowing pathways to evoke tides, travel, gathering points, and the shifting moods of the Gold Coast—from eclipse-dark skies to sunrise warmth. Ocean motifs and coastal silhouettes appear like visual “anchors,” while the repeating rings create a meditative pulse, inviting viewers to slow down and read the surface like a map of connection.
Together, the pieces feel both contemporary and culturally grounded: bold, graphic forms from a distance, intricate detail up close.
The collection speaks in an Indigenous-inspired visual language of Country, community, and healing—where colour becomes current, and story becomes motion.
