Live in the Gloucester District and you've been meaning to visit the museum? Come and visit us on Saturday 13th June, FREE ENTRY discover artefacts, tools and equipment from a bygone era, discover people who lived in town before you. We have an Archive centre where you research local family history, look at newspapers from 1947, see collections of school magazines, building applications up to the 1950's.

Volunteers needed! Are you enthusiastic about local history, or do you want to learn more about it? We are looking for interested people to join our team in preserving local artefacts and engaging with visitors at the Gloucester District Historical Society Museum. Activities could include welcoming visitors, preserving artefacts, correlating old photos and letters, collecting oral history, garden maintenance, and general cleaning, or choose something that interests you. Note: Volunteering at the Gloucester District Historical Society Museum fulfils Centrelink Mutual Obligation requirements. If this interests you, come and talk to us at the museum on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10:30am and 1:30pm at 12 Church Street, Gloucester. Phone 02 6558 9989 and leave a message at other times.
