Overview
The Friends of the Queens Park Theatre was inaugurated shortly after the opening of the Theatre in 1982. The Geraldton Town Council, as it was then known, called for some interested community members to form a group to support the Theatre. Throughout the years the Friends group has provided support to the Theatre by way of equipment, suppers and sponsorship of shows. Considering the inco
me of the Friends is solely reliant upon memberships, this is a reflection of the dedication of the Committee over the years. In November 2007, the Friends celebrated the 25th Silver Jubilee of the Theatre with a joyful grand gathering of Friends. In March 2012 the Friends marked the 30th Anniversary of the QPT with a โPearl Celebration Dinnerโ, all in the magnificently decorated lower foyer of the QPT, decked out with pearls and fairy lights. Known also as QPT CLUB, we are the drivers of the fabulous Pizza Wine & Film Nights since 2010 and other film offerings. In 2022, the QPT Club will be enthused by the 40th year of activity in our beloved QPT, a year-long RUBY Anniversary. Membership Benefits
