This is a wonderful example of Kevin’s work. There is one week left of “A Brush With History”, Kevin’s exhibition at the Gayndah Art Gallery. Be sure to get in and see the collection of his water colour art.

'While the Billy Boils' - I paid homage to the late greats, Henry Lawson (short story) and Frederick McCubbin (Down on His Luck painting). I feel like I was born in the wrong century, as I have a strong affinity for the creative era of the 1900s. My painting shows a Swaggie who isn't really down on his luck, as he has to***co, a Swag, an Axe, and his trusty Billy Tea. So he is doing okay.
Watercolour. Size 230 x 345mm. Framed. Certificate of Authenticity. Catalogue No. 1146. $650

100 YEARS OF PHAR LAP 🏆🐎

Today, 4 October 2026, marks 100 years since Phar Lap was born — and a century later, Big Red remains one of the most loved and unforgettable horses in racing history.

It feels very special to share my original A3 oil painting of Phar Lap on his 100th birthday.

This original will be available for sale and on display at my upcoming solo exhibition:

RESILIENCE: Hearts, Horses & Human Connection
📍 Gayndah Art Gallery
📅 20 October – 12 December 2026

I will also be offering fine-art prints of Phar Lap in a range of sizes, so please message me if you would like to order one.

100 years on… and still Hall of Fame. ❤️
