We are truly blown away by the response to our Queensland Transport Museum Open Day yesterday!
With over 1,000 visitors throughout the day, the museum was buzzing from open to close, with a constant flow of people filling the space with energy, conversation, and excitement. It was fantastic to see so many make the most of this free event.
There was a real buzz across the site, with visitors not only exploring the museum’s impressive collection, but really embracing everything on offer. From the ANZAC stories in the Cultural Centre, to the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery’s current exhibition “Light Horse Art” by Ron and Jennifer Marshall, and the Heritage Festival activities at the Gatton & District Historical Society, it was great to see everyone taking their time, discovering new things, and enjoying the full experience.
Most of all, we’re proud to have a display of this calibre right here in the Lockyer Valley, and even prouder to see it getting the attention and appreciation it deserves.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along and made the day what it was 🙌
If you missed it, the museum and Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre are open 7 days a week, always something to discover, and always worth a visit. (normal entry fees apply)
In the lead-up to ANZAC Day, there’s no better time to stop in, reflect, and explore this exhibition.
