Spending a week in the Northern Rivers area N.S.W. Lovely scenery in the hinterland and along the beaches. Doing a watercolour sketch each day. The one below is of Massage Rocks on the Oxley River.
My Thursday watercolour workshops begin again on Thursday 8 October. Details are on the website.

SKETCHING ESSENTIALS WITH KATE SHEPHERSON.

Starting Monday 20 July, 12 Midday to 2.30pm. The workshops continue for 8 weeks.
Kate is a Geelong based artist, and has been teaching a sketching class at the Queenscliffe Neighbourhood Hose for the past 2 years. We invite you to join Kate at The Papermill Gallery for a new drawing class focusing on drawing fundamentals.
The class with cover proportion and measuring, composition, perspective, values and shading, and more. Materials are provided. however if you wish to bring your own drawing materials you are most welcome to do so.

A recent watercolour I just completed after doing a sketch "en plein air" of a scene next to the Muckleford Creek near Newstead.

We have just hung in the Gallery a lovely oil painting by renowned artist Max Middleton. The painting features the You Yangs in the background. For sale $4000 (Negotiable), Provenance is available of original sale price.

We have just hung in the Gallery some new paintings by Dr Phillip.B.Roos ( .philliproos : ) Phillip is an artist, author, architect and environmental philosopher, whose creative practice is inspired by natures rhythms, forms and hidden patterns. The paintings are from the series "Soaring Birds of Prey" and are for sale together with a Certificate of Authenticity.
