** LETS SEND ONE OF OUR GREATEST PENINSULA ARTISTS TO CANBERRA **
Many of you know my history in art and cultural policy, funding, and indeed - cinema / film production and funding, and our great film and cultural festivals and events.
You also know that my deep frustration with the fact the Australian Parliament has no Mornington Peninsula artists has set me on a path to self-induced poverty, buying MP artists’ works and filling my office space with them, on display, for all to see!
SO IT IS WITH BRAIN EXPLODING EXCITEMENT AND PRIDE THAT I DRAW ALL OUR ARTISTS’ ATTENTION to the Artist-in-Residence at Australian Parliament House program.
Expressions of interest for the Australian Parliament House Artist-in-Residence program are now open to Australian visual artists at any stage of their career.
The successful artist will receive:
• an artist’s fee for the research stage of $10,000
• an additional Commission Fee for new work of up to $30,000
• travel and accommodation allowance of up to $15,000
• access to a workspace within the Parliamentary Library.
And regular invitations to tea with me!
