🎉 Introduction - New President
My partner and I moved to Forster after falling in love with this beautiful area while on holiday here eight years ago. We brought our Tamworth business, Aussie Bush Leather, with us. We manufactured, retailed and wholesaled Australian-made leather goods. Many locals remember our retail outlet in Wharf Street, with our manufacturing factory in Boona Street.
Four years ago, we sold the business and have since enjoyed a wonderful semi-retirement in this beautiful community.
As a relatively new member, I've been so impressed by how warm, welcoming and encouraging the gallery has been. I believe that sense of community is what makes GLAS so special and unique.
As I step into the role of President, I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of a society with such a strong and wonderful foundation. I have enormous respect for the hard work, dedication and commitment of previous Presidents, committees, volunteers and members who have helped shape GLAS into what it is today. My aim is to honour what has already been achieved, build on that strong foundation, and work collaboratively with our Committee and members to take GLAS confidently into its next chapter.
