Hello everyone.
Very excited to announce our new display of the service peaked cap of Brigadier-General William Grant CMG, DSO and Bar, VD.
Possible conservation measures for bullion/gold braid on the hat are being investigated.
BRIG.GEN. William Grant, was the commanding officer of the Charge of Beersheba (30 Oct. 1917) in Palestine by the Australian Light Horse.
The hat is a very important item of Australia's first war heritage and conservation measures are sought from the conservation team at the Australian War Memorial.
Many thanks
Dave Tyson
