We’d like to thank Fresh Arts Member Beth Hattenfels for hosting our latest Create Date last weekend. Beth shared her floral art skills and her brand new Flower Makery Workshop with our group to explore the delights of floral art. The morning was a lovely deviation from the drawing and painting our members usually enjoy. Much conversation, laughter and some lovely floral art creations came out of this workshop.
If you’re interested in attending a floral art workshop with Beth, please email her at [email protected] to find out when upcoming workshops will be held.

It was a very social morning with stunning weather, lots of laughter and chatter, and delicious home made food and, of course, some lovely art! 🖼️🖌️

Creative Workshop with Catherine Jones

Unleashing Creativity with Fresh Arts Members

Creative people are often bubbling over with ideas and energy, and Fresh Arts Members recently received some amazing professional tuition in harnessing their creativity from local artist and College of Fine Arts Alumni, Catherine Jones.

During the session, everyone was able to stretch their creative muscles thanks to Catherine’s artistic flare, picking up new ways to look and think about stepping out of their artistic comfort zone. After some hilarious practical activities, such as creating our worst landscape, and critiquing them afterwards, participants worked on fresh projects with Catherine cheering them on and offering artistic guidance. The group enjoyed delicious homemade treats for morning tea followed by lunch at Creo Café, which gave everyone time to relax and chat. By the end, artists felt inspired and excited by this very collaborative workshop and everything they’d shared and learned together.
