Words in Winter is happening in Daylesford this August. We are hosting an event at our studio and cellar door on Saturday the 29th at 2pm. Six Peaks Speak - wine and stories with Barry Golding. Barry’s book gives voice to changing landscapes through six iconic peaks. Barry will share his expertise in local history and geology, offering insight into stories of settlement and unsettling of the Dja Dja Wurrung. Great winemaking is connected to place. We will taste and talk about some fine local wines made from vineyards that are part of our local region. Also joining us on the day will be Norman Latta of Owen Latta who has 40+ years of experience in the wine industry. The tasting will include wines from Dilworth & Allain, Eastern Peake and for some comparison and contrasting Joshua Cooper Wines Book ticket via the link in our bio

What a turn out in the rain!! Thank you to everyone who came to open the exhibition last night. And a special thank you to and . The exhibition is open today Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st of June from 12pm-6pm at Dilworth and Allain, 5 Howe st Daylesford. On Sunday afternoon we are setting up the turn tables to close the exhibition. DM if you would like to bring some vinyl and play some tunes!!

The 2024 Doug’s Vineyard Pinot Noir has just been released and today we are pressing the 2026 vintage. We have been making Pinot Noir from Doug’s Vineyard since 2017 (which was when we started making wine as Dilworth and Allain).
The vineyard is located in the cool sub-region of Romsey on the north side of Mt Macedon and sits at an elevation of 530m. It was planted in 2000 to a mix of clones predominantly MV6 along with 114 and 115. Situated on a hill with a north orientation, the soil is volcanic rocky red basalt. Crimson in colour with aromas of cherries, plums, pepper, herbal/twigs and earthiness. Tightly strung with the hallmark fine tannins that cover your tongue. Layers of fruit flavours on the palate keep coming, along with more of the peppery spice and earthiness. Yes!

Come and join us on Friday the 1st of May as Pierre Filliez creator and performer Theatre presents his newest puppet show Potato Island. The Potato Island is a joyful, music-filled adventure for families (45 minutes) about friendship, communication, courage, and the power of sharing.

On a magical island where everyone lives on potatoes, the peaceful “Chlips” from the North and South suddenly turn against each other, tricked by the sly Pontiac.

With the help of the audience (and a few flying potatoes!), two brave young heroes will attempt to save their island.

A fun and original, heartfelt tale with puppets, songs, shadow theatre, and lots of mashed mayhem!

Oh yeah here we go again. Mark this one on the calendar ‘tout de suite’ as in immediately, like straight away….Saturday April 25. Mouthfeel No 2. Bringing the big sound with much love and joy will be supported by local legends , , aka dj Luke, , aka dj yarn, who has yet again produced an amazing poster 🤗 we are thrilled to announce will be back again with a delicious offering of edible delights. Drinks offerings other than wine has expanded. Things like beer and a cheeky cocktail or 2….. get amongst it people. Not to take away from the newly released single vineyard wines that Loique and I are super thrilled to share, think, Ultra premium, special reserve wine ! All too good no? and it’s of course again free entry to the party xx
