Instructions for Conjuring is a new exhibition by Simone Darcy opening at Cowra Micro Gallery on Sunday 28 June 2026.

Developed during an artist residency in Ubud, Bali, the body of work explores experimental photography through photomontage and gum oil printing.

Simone Darcy recently was awarded second place in Cowra Regional Art Gallery's Central Belonging exhibition. Today is actually the last day you can see this work at Cowra Regional Art Gallery. If you've been, drop by before 2pm!

Then, later this month join Simone for the opening on Sunday 28 June from 12pm at the historic Cowra Railway Station, where visitors can also enjoy a tasting of local Cowra wines.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Cowra Micro on Sunday for the opening of Piano Works 2 by Brenda Stace Chat.

It was a fantastic afternoon with a wonderful turnout of both familiar and new faces. We are especially grateful to Peter Haynes, curator, writer and visual arts historian, for officially opening the exhibition and sharing such thoughtful insights.

Thank you for your support and for helping make the day so special. You can see the exhibition this weekend from 10am until 2:30 on Saturday and Sunday.

You’re Invited: Piano Works 2 – Exhibition Opening

Join us at Cowra Micro Gallery for the opening of Piano Works 2, a compelling new exhibition by Brenda Stace Chat.

What happens when a piano no longer “works”?
Brenda Stace Chat transforms salvaged piano parts into striking sculptural forms; giving new life to materials once made for music. Through upcycled wood and keys, Piano Works 2 invites us to reflect on the lifespan of everyday objects and the beauty of reinvention.

All are welcome to attend the official opening. Please note this is an outdoor event, be sun safe.
